Invitae is pleased to offer scholarships for NSGC’s 2014 Annual Education Conference

Invitae is excited to be able to offer scholarships to ten (10) Full or New Genetic Counselor Members of NSGC to attend the National Society of Genetic Counselors 2014Annual Education Conference (AEC). Scholarship recipients will receive complimentary full registration (including CEU fee) and a travel stipend of $570.

Drawing together thousands of genetic counselors, the AEC is being held September 17-20 in New Orleans. The goal is to educate genetic counselors on the latest research and developments in genetic counseling, genetics and genomics. We are pleased to support the NSGC’s mission and enable more genetic counselors to connect with their professional community to share insights and advance the future of genetic counseling, all while earning CEUs.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must currently be a Full or New Genetic Counselor NSGC member.
  • Scholarships are intended for individuals whose institutions are not covering the cost of the AEC.

To Apply

To apply for the scholarships, please complete the brief application here and submit a signed letter from your employer stating that your organization is NOT providing you with funding to attend this year’s AEC via email to awards@nsgc.org.

As part of the online application, you will be asked to submit a brief (250 word) personal statement outlining a few specifics about why you want to attend the AEC and how you plan to use the information presented. The Scholarship Subcommittee of the NSGC Membership Committee will review all applications and select the winners (Invitae will NOT be involved in selecting the winners).
